PROGRAMME DETAILS

What is a top-up programme?

A top-up programme is an advanced route that builds on relevant prior higher education towards an honours degree. It is designed for students who may already have a related qualification and need to complete the final stage of degree-level study.

Is a top-up programme Level 3 or Level 6?

These terms describe different things. Year 3 is an entry point in a degree sequence. Level 6 describes the academic level of advanced undergraduate study. MIUC describes its Sunderland top-up route as advanced Level 6 study.

How does entry assessment work?

Your previous qualification determines whether a full-degree or advanced entry route may be suitable. MIUC lists Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 entry discussions for its programmes. Admissions should assess your certificate, transcript and relevant subject background against the current requirements before you apply.
